  • Stayover Items

If you need anything to be restocked during your stay (Gulfstream Rentals Only), kindly visit the housekeeping department between 8 am to 4 pm. We can provide you with fresh towels, linen, dish/hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper. We want to make sure you have everything you need to feel at home during your stay with us.

  • Pickle Ball and Cornhole

If you’re interested in playing some Pickle Ball or Cornhole, we have equipment available for checkout at the front desk. We just want to remind everyone to be careful and play responsibly, as we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. It’s important to note that we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or injuries, so let’s all have fun and stay safe out there!

  • Beach Cam

Do you miss the beach and wish you could see it right now? Fortunately, the Gulfstream has a live stream camera that provides a direct view of our stunning shoreline. With this camera, you can watch the breathtaking sunrise from anywhere, whether you’re on your phone, tablet, or computer, regardless of when your reservation is.   • Service Animal Registration

While we do not require documentation or certification for service animals, we may ask if the animal is a service animal required because of a disability and what tasks the animal has been trained to perform. This information is solely used to ensure that the service animal’s presence complies with our policy. ALL SERVICE ANIMALS MUST BE REGISTERED IN OUR OFFICE AT CHECK-IN. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A $500. FINE AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE OUR PROPERTY.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

The Whitecap Yacht Club will feature a marina, pool, pool bar, dining facilities, and private gathering spaces. It will be for property owners, but they are currently working on possibly making it available to others with a membership. It will be adjacent to a state-of-the-art automated dry stack boat storage facility near the Don Patricio Bridge. To learn more about the Whitecap development visit the sales center at the corner of Compass and Commodores 10 am – 6 pm Tuesday – Sunday.

PICKLEBALL – The Flour Bluff High School tennis courts are available to the community for pickleball for the month of May. The times are Sundays 1 – 6 pm and Mondays/Wednesdays 6 – 9 pm. The cost is $10 for individuals and $20 for families. Here is the link to register:

Padre Boat Tours is now available on weekends and in its second year is adding a beautiful loop cruise through the Don Patricio Bridge to their dolphin and sunset tours. The two hour cruise onboard the 35’ Packery Queen is $39, for ages 2 – 9 is $29 and under age 2 is $5. Go to the website to book online. For more info call 361-252-1510.

Captain’s Diner is set to open in mid-May. This photo shows the bar, drive-up window for order pickup, two of the ten booths, and one of the group round tables. There are photos of the Island back in the day and of Owner Minas’ coastal hometown back in Greece throughout the restaurant. One of the walls has photos of Hollywood stars from the 1940s and 1950s that he had at his City Diner downtown before he opened the diner in Beeville.

GlowRow kayaks are making a permanent site next to Doc’s Seafood & Steaks. Have dinner, then take a clear kayak out to view what life is under the water, plus BYOB while you enjoy the ride.

Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle nesting season has begun so watch for them when driving on the beach and call 1-866-TURTLE-5 if you see one.

The Star Wars Day 5K Run ($30) and 1K Kids Run ($15) will be held on Saturday, May 4th  , at 8 a.m. at the Briscoe Pavilion. It is a Flour Bluff High School Community Booster to raise funds to modernize the cafeteria. There will be a costume contest, caricatures by art students, face painting, music, prizes, and more. They are seeking participants and sponsors. The link and QR code can be found on the school’s Facebook page.

The Gulfstream Owner Section

The Next Board of Directors meeting will be on Saturday, June 8th, 2024. The meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. All owners are encouraged to attend in person or via Zoom. Important updates and information will be discussed.
